Description

This is a set of replacement OEM Head Gaskets for the EA839 V6 2.9T and 3.0T found in the B9/B9.5 Audi S4, S5, SQ5, RS5, C8 A6/S6/A7/S7, & 4M.5 Q7/Q8. The head gaskets must be replaced when removing your cylinder heads, and upgrading or replacing your factory head studs on the EA839 engine.

Under high-boost applications, the factory head studs can stretch over time, causing less clamping pressure on the engine’s cylinder head. As the factory studs allow this loss of clamping, head gasket failure and even severe engine damage can occur. Some symptoms would be coolant evacuation through the overflow on your coolant reservoir under boost. In this situation, it is recommended to upgrade or replace your head studs and head gaskets. The Wagner Head Studs are designed to work with the OEM Head Gasket and would be a great upgrade if you are replacing your head gaskets or have your cylinder heads removed.
